Possession	Published by rain on 19/9/2009 at 00:56, in the founding thread of his forum. The MD5 is attested two days later in a full re-copy on another Chinese forum (21/9/2009) and in a 2011 Hong Kong repost.
Preservation	Not acquired: we know the name, byte count and fingerprint from period documents, not the bytes themselves.

What it is

The package with which the scene was truly born. It did not require knowing how to set up a server: you opened the disk in Microsoft Virtual PC and played with the Taiwanese publisher's official client. From this package descends the Western «InstantServer» of October 2009, the /usr/rain/ folder, and the rain.tar.gz tarballs that all of Europe used in 2010-2011.

The password mcncc.com survived five years and three countries: in May 2014 a Czech forum still published it as the virtual machine's root password.
