An exhibit is a file, a document or a record whose name, bytes and fingerprint we know. The seal says what we hold of it: the physical copy in the private archive, or only the fingerprint known from period documents, or the certainty that it is lost. Nothing is downloaded from here.

The 2009 leak3
- Owned game0901.tar.gz The file of the 2009 leak. The game folder of a Metin2 server on FreeBSD, a Hong Kong/Taiwan build (《龍駒 Online》, Run Up), packaged on September 1, 2009 and put online by rain on a Chinese forum eighteen days later.
- Lost yt2.rar The parent archive of the leak, and an empty showcase with a label saying what it held. It died of disinterest, not of distrust: the service that hosted it deleted large, seldom-requested files.
- Fingerprint only Mc倚天2一键.exe The «turnkey server» of the first release. A Virtual PC 2007 disk with FreeBSD already installed: account rain/12345, MySQL root/123456, archive password mcncc.com.
The 2014 sources3
- Fingerprint only kraizy.tgz The sources leak, the second event. 2.79 GB that came out of Ymir's patch server between September and November 2013: twelve years of the scene rest on this single tarball.
- Owned wolf_source.rar (2016) Counter-evidence, not a period exhibit. Server+client source from the 2014-2016 scene, catalogued because someday someone might mistake it for 2009 material.
- Owned VS_novaline_bin.rar (2016) «novaline» client+server binaries from the scene: the «mainline server + novaline client» formula codified in 2014.
The Chinese prehistory (2004-2008)3
- Owned yt2_pack.exe / yt2_pack98.exe The oldest official Chinese binaries we possess. 《倚天2》 launcher from October 2004, a self-extracting RAR compressed with UPX, with the Chinese patch server written inside.
- Lost gs_yt2.exe The oldest record of a Chinese client on a site that is still alive, without the file anymore. Alongside it, the listing for a closed-beta client from 25/8/2004 (199.0 MB), also lost.
- Owned fyyt.exe (风云倚天, 2005) + ip_chn.es + pkdu.zip Chinese prehistory, as bytes. The launcher and server lists of a Chinese Metin private server already commercial in August 2005: it sold equipment for RMB, had a call center in Xi'an, and 1000× experience.
The Korean origins (2002-2005)6
- Owned Metin2.exe (Korean launcher, 16/7/2004) The oldest Metin2 executable in circulation. Inside: the domains of the official Korean site and patch server, metin2.bin, patch.ver, patch.add, Metin2Mutex. The launcher/patcher of the Korean beta.
- Lost MetinII0_0_1.exe / MetinII0_0_3.exe The name of the first Metin2 client. The earliest versions of the 2003 Korean closed beta, of which we know the name, server and date but not a single byte.
- Owned Outdoor.epk (25/3/2004) The oldest Metin2 game data we possess. A March 2004 pack that survived seven years unchanged in the official European clients.
- Owned metin062-2001.exe (Metin 1 v0.62) The oldest file in the entire museum: a relic of the first Metin (2001), dated but not reconstructible.
- Owned Official Ymir artwork, June-September 2004 The original 2004 illustrations, with the credit «© Latte / © YMIR CO.,LTD. 2003» on the character art: a co-author the scene has never documented.
- Owned Press screenshot of the second closed beta, July 2003 Metin2 in 2003, when it was pitched as a «production system» with three races (아사드·에카·반).
Official clients10
- Owned Client 《倚天II》 · 内测2 (October 2004) The oldest complete Metin2 client that survives. The build of the second Chinese closed beta (内测2, 8-15 October 2004): 4½ months before the oldest pack of the 2005 client.
- Debunked Metin2_CN_2005.exe The «Metin2 2004 Beta Client» is not from 2004. A legend that has circulated for twelve years: it is the Chinese client from September 2005.
- Owned MetinPatch.EXE (12/12/2006) One single launcher for four continents. Inside, five hosts: the Korean site and patch server, CATV's Chinese patch server (never documented before), the German site, and the official Chinese site.
- Owned Metin2_EN_20070608.exe The first Western client. The English client from June 2007 is a repackaging of the one from March 28.
- Owned Metin2_20081204_softonic.exe (DE) One of the oldest surviving Gameforge installers, containing pieces dating back to April 2005. The client Germany was playing with in the months of the leak.
- Lost mt2_20070529.exe (HK 龍駒 client) The Hong Kong client, and the branch that had been under minimal maintenance for over a year when it was merged into Taiwan.
- Lost mt2_20080923.exe (TW 龍駒 client) The Taiwan client from September 2008, the one from the leak era. It will remain unchanged until the shutdown on 7/4/2010.
- Owned 4Gamer press photographs, 24/2/2006 and 24/3/2006 The Japanese edition メティン2 (Netmarble, 24/3/2006): the press photographs with the editor's timestamp in the EXIF.
- Owned Ten Western peer-to-peer packages, 2007-2011 Metin2 in Western peer-to-peer distribution: the first package is Italian (May 2007), and in August 2009 a Chinese private server with an English-language storefront distributed its own client this way.
- Debunked «Metin2 2004 Beta Client» (metin2.dev, 2014) It is the same file as the September 2005 Chinese client. Same 304,870,262 bytes; the internal MSI is dated 5/9/2005. See metin2-cn-2005-exe.
Period private servers5
- Owned metin2_db+mysql.rar The Italians of May 2009. The MySQL data directory of an Italian private server on an OVH dedicated box, with the metin2_runup database in Big5 and LOCALE = hongkong: Run Up's files were running in Italy four months before rain's release.
- Fingerprint only 龙驹在线.rar The client of the first Chinese private server, June 2008. The oldest binary of the pserver scene of which we have a fingerprint: the HK 2007 build was running in China fifteen months before rain.
- Owned metin2 files.rar (mc.exe + mc.dll + shura.exe) The first dated bytes of the Hong Kong chain that we hold as an actual file. The HK client disguised as mc.exe, with a CHINANET Fujian IP inside: the Chinese «一键» mechanism reaches Brazil.
- Owned game.tar.gz (2012, «lastmirage», r2089) A complete serverfile from the 2010-2013 era, germany locale, containing two fossils dated 26/2/2008: the same installation date as the HK tree in the 2009 tarball.
- Owned Screenshot from a Japanese player on metin2united, 1/3/2011 Where the Japanese went. The private server they migrated to was metin2united: a level-30 start with everything +9. Six days later the server blocked Asian connections.
Records, balance sheets, press releases3
- Owned 감사보고서 Webzen FY2011-FY2013 (KIND) Ymir's accounts read at the source. The acquisition (77.8 billion won, 26/1/2011), the goodwill never written down, the first line item «메틴2» in a financial statement (14,610 million won in 2011, 25% of the group).
- Owned MT.doc / form.doc (official Taiwan site) Two Word documents from the official Taiwan site: a form for a March 2007 event and a document from November 2009, two months after the leak.
- Document Official closure announcement of 龍駒 Online (3/3/2010) The keystone has a document. «未能與原廠達成共識…原廠已決定不再續予官方營運權»: the Korean licensor refuses to renew Run Up's operating rights. Shutdown on 7/4/2010 at 12:00.

- Owned 少年电脑世界 CD · November 2004 The disc that preserved the 2004 client. A CD bundled with a Chinese monthly youth magazine.
- Document 少年电脑世界 · September 2004, page 51 Metin2 told before it was called Metin2. The magazine presents 《倚天II》 and its «meteorite system» (陨石系统): these are the Metin stones.
- Owned 《家用电脑与游戏》 Vol.121, September 2004 The first dated Chinese mention of Metin2. On p. 55, «倚天2 — 记SK2004北京梦幻之旅»: producer YMIR, Chinese publisher «not yet decided», «for now it can only be tried on the Korean server».
