What is Hard 2004
Hard · Yitian II 2004 is the Primetin2 server that runs the Chinese Metin2 of October 2004 just as it was. We did not modify the client: we rewrote the Hard server so that it would answer it.
The server is in public beta since 29 September 2026. The basics work: login, characters, movement, chat, fights, quests. We fix the rest on the server, one report at a time.
·Pure 2004 rules
The game follows the rules of 2004 and nothing else. The old Hard rule, where dying sent you back to level 1, is gone.
The maximum level is 70, as it was in 2004 and 2005: the cap was raised to 90 only with the update of 29 December 2005.
·A new world
Hard was rebuilt from zero for the 2004 client. The characters of the old Hard are kept in our archive, but they do not come into this world.
